There is always a lot of do in NYC, you just have to know where to find it. So here is a list of free and priced events, so you know what is happening in just this week! FYI, a link to the event has been attached to the date.
Free Events this Week
- June 12th– Distinguished Lecture: Shuchao Bi, OpenAI at Columbia University.
- The lecture “Advancing the Frontier of Silicon Intelligence: the Past, Open Problems, and the Future” comes from Researcher and founder Shuchao Bi.
- June 14th– Pigeon Festival at the High Line from 12-8pm. Come celebrate one of the most iconic New York with organizations such as the Wildlife Bird Fund, High Line and more
- June 13th- Sparkle with Pride: Chemistry with the American Musuem of Natural History 1-4pm; with 3 showing time and child freely
- June 13th– Stargazing: Carl Schurz Park with Amateur Astronomers Association
- June 12th – Community Science: Horseshoe Crab Monitoring; 3-6pm with New York City Parks. Help rangers collect data and learn more about ecology will all the gear you would need.
- June 10th– *In-Person: Computer Hardware – The Anatomy of the Computer. Learn with NYPL about how computer functions.
Ticketed or Pay-What-You-Wish
- June 14th– Mycology Walk with NYMS. A PWYW event, starting at 1pm, learn all about the magic of fungi and mushrooms.
- June 13th– Pride Night at the American Musuem of Natural History, a 21 and up event after hours (7-10pm),featuring treats and cocktails.
- June 10th– Monthly Climate Science and Energy Engineering Dinner- Open to all 7pm at Skylight Diner. Learn more and debate with all about Climate and other economical/ political issues in an open minded environment.
- June 11th– Science Exclamation Point, a lecture and comedy show from 9:30pm-11pm
- June 11th– SFNYC 2025 Food Almanac: Food as Medicine Panel Discussion; with highly knowledgeable Chiefs, learn more about food.
Although New York City can be overwhelming on what you would like to do. If you are just bored of the same routine of going out to eat or drinking, try something new. Come out and learn some science. Experience a whole other side of New York.
